The starting point for this collaboration was our iconic S+G cowboy boot, a best-seller from our last collaboration, that sold out in the first week. So this time, we upped the western with stars, horseshoes, and more cowboy motifs. We love a western look as it feels timeless and classic, but always forever cool.
STYLING NOTES:
The secret to simple stacking is thinking about length and textures, it's the key things we have in mind when pairing necklaces to get a softer stack that is still impactful. We styled our new Barleycorn Chain with our classic Twist Chain, giving texture for days and topped it off with our Bow Pendant sitting higher for a change of scenery.
TOP TIP:
Sophie Floyd said it best "the different textures also stop your chains from tangling!" and we completely agree. This is a bonus when using different textured chains, whereas stacking lots of the same chains tend to end up in a tangle.
STYLING NOTES:
This ear stack throws out the rule book, something we encourage with our jewellery styling. We know it can feel overwhelming to create a jewellery look that feels right to you, but jewellery is there to have fun with. This ear curation is like the Wild West itself, lawless! We've mixed metals, stacked our vintage silhouette Thick Creole Hoop with a dramatic size down in our mid-size Bow Huggie, then stacked up the ear with mismatched studs.
TOP TIP:
Don't be afraid to mix metals, ever! We love mixed metals and rarely see it on ear stacks but it's the perfect place to experiment. Try our 'metal stacking' approach if you have multiple piercings, where you split a look in half rather than mix and match. Wear your go-to metal in your main piercing, then introduce the new metal in one part of the ear only - we kept to gold in the top ear, rather than alternating further down in piercings.
