9ct Solid Gold

Everything you have ever wanted to know about this precious metal. From how to look after it, to why you should choose it.

9ct Solid Gold

Solid Gold is like the superhero of metals—tough, shiny, and is unlikely to tarnish, making it perfect for everyday wear.

Gold has different purity depending on the carat, so 24ct gold is pure gold which is a very soft metal and not durable for jewellery. Our 9ct Solid Gold is 37.5% gold, then 62.5% of a different metal such as copper or silver to strengthen it or give it colour - ours is all nickel, lead and cadmium free. Our 9ct Gold will have a tiny 375 stamp on it.

Keep It Bright

There are some easy ways to keep your jewellery looking brighter for longer.

- Invest in a scratch-free polishing cloth. These will brighten up any pieces that have become dull over time.

- Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, take off jewellery before you start your beauty regime.

- Take off before swimming. Chlorine in pools can be abrasive, as can salt in the sea - it's always best to remove items if swimming on the regular.

Why Choose Solid Gold?

Solid Gold can be a great option if you are looking for something that durable to wear day in day out as it won’t fade (it may just need the odd polish if the colour dulls).

Plus it won’t tarnish or cause any green necks, ears or fingers as its suitable for sensitive skin!
